    RESIDENCE

    Residence program in Thailand

    The exclusive residence program in Thailand allows foreign nationals to stay in the country for up to 20 years. The Thailand Elite Residence Program is the world’s first of its type, providing limitless access to Southeast Asia’s gems as well as a variety of complimentary VIP benefits.

     

    Bangkok, often known as the ‘City of Angels,’ is located in the center of the country and offers a vibrant urban lifestyle on a worldwide scale. The Royal Thai Immigration Commission handles all applications for Thai Permanent Residency. A maximum of 100 people per nation are granted permanent residency in Thailand each year.

    • If investors stay in Thailand for less than 183 days per year, they are tax exempt on their foreign-sourced income because they are not tax residents.

    Thailand's elite residence program

    The Thailand elite residence program allows applicants to dwell in the nation for up to 20 years while also receiving privileged services and VIP advantages.     The Thailand Elite Residence Program has seven different alternatives, each with different durations, benefits, and expenses. The three most prevalent alternatives are as follows:

    Elite Easy Access.

    Elite Superiority Extension

    • There is no annual charge, and there is no age limit.
    • Government concierge services and airport services are included in the package.

    Elite Family Excursion

    • It is for a minimum of two people, with each member receiving a five-year resident visa. Both applicants are covered by the $25,000 one-time charge.
    • Each dependent will incur an additional $10,000 fee. Dependents include legitimate parents, stepparents, spouses (even though they are in a civil union), children, and stepchildren of the applicant.
    • There is no annual charge, and there is no age limit. VIP services are included in the package.

    Procedures and timeframe

    The Thailand elite residence program allows applicants to dwell in the nation for up to 20 years while also receiving privileged services and VIP advantages. Foreigners must join Thailand elite, an exclusive program offered by Thailand privileged card company limited, to get the Thailand elite resident visa. (TPC)

     

    TPC’s application process is quick and easy. Approved applicants and dependents must notify TPC seven days before their arrival at the airport under regular travel conditions or at the Bangkok Immigration Bureau to get the visa affixed.

    Thai dual citizenship

    Although it is not categorized as a non-immigrant visa, the TPC residence permit (privilege entrance visa) does not lead to permanent residency or citizenship.

     

    The Thailand elite resident visa does not provide applicants with permanent residency or citizenship. A Thai non-immigrant visa must have been held for at least three years prior to the application being submitted. After ten years of continuous residency in Thailand, it is possible to apply for citizenship.

    Elite Flexible One Program

    Thailand’s Elite Residency Program is now the fourth most popular investment migration program in the world. Due to the global pandemic, many international Thailand residents were unable to re-enter the country to renew their expiring visas, so the Thailand Elite Residence Program became a viable option.

    Thailand's Elite Flexible One Program Advantage

    • Low-cost but high-quality living.
    • For members who acquire properties worth Bt10 million from participating developers, the Thailand Elite Flexible One Program grants a 5-year multiple-entry visa.
    • Prospective Thailand Elite card applicants will reap the benefits of owning property in Thailand, with the Elite Easy Access 5-year resident membership program already valued at 600,000 THB.

    Thailand's Elite Flexible One Program requirements

    • Minimum age of 20 years is necessary for applicants.
    • Be a citizen of another country.
    • Thailand Elite will run a background check on you.
    • Invest at least THB 10 million in Thai real estate (consisting of one or multiple properties, which must be ready to move into).
    • Present proof of real estate ownership for each of the five years of residence, and do, not mortgage, sell or transfer the property during that time.
    • Please provide evidence of the bank transfer.
    • They should show the title deed to the property they bought in their name.

    Investors may upgrade to one of three alternatives within the first two years of the program:

    1. THB 1.605 million for Elite Ultimate Privilege (a 20-year residency) (approximately USD 50,000)

    2. Elite Superiority Extension (ten-year residency): THB 500,000 (approximately USD 16,000)

    3. THB 500,000 for Elite Privilege Access (ten-year residency) (approximately USD 16,000)
