To apply for citizenship in Canada, you must have been a permanent resident for five years and have spent at least 1,095 days, or three years, in the country prior to submitting your citizenship application. You don’t have to give up your current citizenship because Canada allows dual citizenship.
Note: On March 31, 2021, the Quebec Immigrant Investor Program was extended by the Ministry of Immigration, Francisation, and Integration. The program will not resume until April 1, 2023.
