    Country Information:

Australia is one of the world’s most multicultural countries, with the world’s oldest continuously existing culture. We have a highly competent workforce and a long history of democratic governance and stability. As one of the first countries in the modern world to create a democracy, The Commonwealth of Australia, which consists of six states and various territories, was founded in 1901 and maintains a stable, liberal, democratic political structure. The population of 25 million people is concentrated in eastern urban centres and coastal areas.

Except for New Zealand residents, all foreign nationals must get a visa before visiting Australia. Non-Australian nationals can migrate in two ways: temporarily or permanently. Non-Australian nationals can stay in Australia for a limited time for a variety of reasons, including tourism, visiting relatives, studying, working, and receiving medical care. Many temporary visas allow you to apply for permanent residency.

    Residence

For HNWIs seeking residency through investment, Australia is a popular location. Australia has a high standard of living, which is frequently ranked first or second worldwide. It has excellent female and child safety ratings. Australia is a fantastic place to do business in Southeast Asia, and the economy has functioned admirably, with no recession since the 1990s. It is one of the world’s wealthiest countries and has a good reputation.

    Investment Residency in Australia

The Australia Investor Stream Visa is a residency-by-investment program that allows successful applicants and their families to live in Australia for five years.

Eligible candidates must meet certain standards specific to the visa subclass in question. A visa application’s criteria will include either “at time of lodging” requirements, “at time of decision” requirements, or a combined effect of both. If an applicant fails to demonstrate that they meet the criteria at the appropriate time, their visa application may be denied. All visa subclasses require applicants to meet certain health, character, and public interest criteria.

The Department of Immigration has a key focus processing tier in which visa applications that provide the highest benefit to the country (skilled visas) are assessed faster than those that provide little benefit (family visas). The visa application process is highly structured and based on laws, regulations, policies, and legislative instruments. The processing time for each visa type differs considerably.

    • Individuals must invest at least AUD 5 million in a compliant Australian-managed investment fund for the period of the provisional visa's validity, and primary visa holders must spend an average of 40 days in the nation each year.
    • Individuals must clear a points test, have a profitable business career with a business turnover of at least AUD 750,000, and have net assets of at least AUD 1.25 million to be eligible for the Business Innovation Stream. The Global Talent Independent Program

The goal of this program is to bring highly trained and talented people from specialized industries to Australia to permanently settle. Australia is seeking highly qualified and talented people from all over the world in specified fields for priority processing so that they can settle in Australia under the Global Talent Visa.

    Here are the focused sectors:

    • Technology related to resources, energy, and mining.
    • Agricultural engineering (agtech).
    • Advanced manufacturing, defense, and space.
    • Finance and technology (fintech).
    • Medical technology and the health-care industry (medtech).
    • Economy circular.
    • Tourism and infrastructure.
    • Education
    • Cyber safety.
    • Information and communications technology, quantum information, advanced digital technology, data science (ICT).

Applicants for the Global Talent Independent visa must be globally known, active in their area, and able to demonstrate exceptional achievements during their career. They must also show that they would be a value to Australia in their field of competence and that they would have no trouble finding work or establishing themselves in Australia

    CITIZENSHIP

Although citizenship can be filed for after 3-4 years of residency, including 1 year of Permanent Residency, there is no direct Australia Citizenship by Investment program. The applicant and family can move from Temporary Residence (TR Subclass 188) to Permanent Residence after four years (PR Subclass 888).

Despite its enormous value, the investment is limited and regulated. Residence is limited to closest family members. There are presently no country quotas in place, and no investment is required until pre-approval. For HNWIs seeking residency through investment, Australia is a popular choice. In fact, Australia attracted 10,000 HNWIs through investment in 2017, the most of any country on the planet, ahead of the United States, which came in second with 9000.

Adult Australian residents are required to vote in federal, state, and local elections, and failure to do so may result in financial penalties. It is also compulsory for Australian nationals to leave and enter the country using their passport. Dual citizenship is permitted in Australia.
